Much more than a Ordinary Life
Autobiography Asbridge Southby Wilton
Date: 4th March 2008
Born on the 17th October 1919 Asbridge Wilton, known as Bridgie, has had much more than an ordinary life. In an effort to keep a record of his life’s events Bridgie set about writing his story with the help of a friend Sue Wilks. What resulted are a combination of personal memories, family milestones and a collection of key events throughout the years.
The collection was presented in a ring binder and when asked Bridgie had a number of copies produced which people bought. When Presbyterian Support Central became aware of Bridgie's autobiography we felt that it deserved to be published as a formal book. We approached the General Manager of Print Link Peter Ward and asked him if he could help.
“We were really impressed with the amount of work and detail Bridgie had gone to, to preserve his story”, Peter said. “We didn’t hesitate in lending a hand and had the contents digitally captured and bound into a book”.
On Wednesday at Reevedon Home Levin Liz Inch, Communications Coordinator presented Bridgie with the bound books.
