How to leave a bequest to Presbyterian Support Central

Leaving Presbyterian Support Central a bequest (also known as a deferred gift) in your will is a unique gift which reflects your own interests, passion and vision for our future. Giving by bequest costs you nothing now, yet it gives a great deal of satisfaction to know that you will help us to support and care for future generations.

You can ask for your gift to be used at one of our Enliven Homes or Family Works Centres, or for Presbyterian Support Central in general. It's your gift and you decide who you would like to help.

There are a number of different ways you can leave a bequest to Presbyterian Support Central in your will. Here is a list of the types of gifts you can arrange:

  • The residue of your estate – The remainder of your estate after all debts have been paid and assets or amounts to beneficiaries distributed.
  • A percentage of your estate – Any amount you choose (up to 100 per cent). You can share your estate among several people or organisations without specifying property or amounts. This is not affected by inflation.
  • A specific bequest – A specific sum of money, property, stocks and shares or anything of value you choose to bequeath. This should be reviewed on a regular basis because it does not allow for changes in your estate or inflation. Specific bequests can be left for general purposes at Presbyterian Support Central, or for general purposes at your preferred Enliven Home or Family Works Centre.

Before including Presbyterian Support Central in your will, we suggest you consult a solicitor or nearest Public Trust office regarding the preferred wording.

You can be assured any gift you leave Presbyterian Support Central, no matter how large or small, will go towards supporting and caring for families, young and older people in need in the Lower North Island.
