Welcome to Presbyterian Support Northern
Presbyterian Support Northern (PSN) is one of seven autonomous regional not-for-profit organisations that collectively are one of the largest social service providers in New Zealand outside of the Government.
We have approximately 520 staff and provide a wide range of services in the Upper North Island for children and their families, older people and younger disabled people.
Our Services
Family Works Northern assists children (0-17 years) and their families to make positive and lasting differences in their lives.
Enliven Positive Ageing Services (formerly Homecare) enable older people to remain in their own homes and in control of their own destiny.
Coactive Collaborative Disability Services provide individually-tailored home and community-based support to disabled people living in Central or South Auckland.
Our Budgeting and Money Management services aim to help people evaluate their financial position, plan for the future and move from an indebted situation to financial independence whenever possible.
The Older Persons Advocacy and Liaison Service (OPALS), available in Tauranga/Mt Maunganui, is focused on elder abuse and neglect awareness, prevention and intervention.
Connecting with Parishes is one of the ways we strive to build partnerships with the church. We currently offer three different seminars to Presbyterian and cooperating parishes that are free of charge.
The Presbyterian Opportunity Shoppe provides low cost clothing and other second hand goods to help support families in the Waikato community.
The Food Bank at St David's distributes food parcels to individuals and families in need in our communities.
