The Enliven difference
Enliven Central embraces the Eden Alternative – an elder-directed model of care. At Woburn Home you’ll be supported to maintain your independence and routines, and to continue with your hobbies, interests and passions.
Your pet is welcome to move in with you if it ‘gets on’ with other people and animals and your grandchildren and other family are always welcome to visit. If you’re a gardener we have plenty of space and if you’re a cook, our chef is always looking for a helping hand! There is also a high level of family and community involvement at Woburn Home. Residents are welcome to entertain visitors at any time.
A life worth living
A highlight for many residents is the social life. As well as enjoying the company of others at a similar stage of life, Woburn Home residents get involved in organising daily happenings and special events – making the most of the varied social calendar.
Regular activities and events include the shopping trips, art classes, sight-seeing trips, guest entertainers, craft, themed parties and gardening projects. Residents are encouraged to invite their family and friends to enjoy the various lounges, gardens and courtyards, or join them for a meal.
Your place. Your space.
At Woburn Home you’ll enjoy the community feel, shared lounges, entertaining areas and lovely gardens. But of course, you’ll also have your own private room. This is your space.
The rooms can be furnished, but residents are invited to make the space their own. You can bring along your own familiar furniture and furnishings. Many residents bring along photos, artwork, ornaments, furniture and bed covers.
We’re also able to offer some premium rooms. These rooms are larger with ensuite and kitchenette options.
Our staff are not only highly trained, they’re also friendly, caring and embrace an elder-directed philosophy of care.
At Woburn Home nurses are on-duty 24-hours-a-day. Our doctor (GP) visits at least twice per week and we are in regular contact to ensure all clinical needs are met. We have a podiatrist and a physiotherapist that visit weekly, and we can organise for other health professionals to visit if required.
Woburn Home also has on on-site salon. Appointments with the hairdresser and beauty therapist are available weekly.
Woburn Home’s rest home level care provides you with the very best in clinical care in an engaging and caring environment.
Woburn Home’s hospital level services are similar to rest home care, but focus on supporting residents with complex clinical needs. Enliven’s highly trained staff are able to care for most medical conditions.
The experience of dementia can cause stress, frustration and even depression for both the person experiencing dementia and their family. Woburn Home can provide a range of services to support people with dementia and their families.
At Woburn Home, you’ll be supported to keep up your daily routines, hobbies and pastimes, whilst remaining safe in a secure, purpose-built home. We’re sure you’ll enjoy the community feel, stimulating atmosphere, and secure central gardens.
Respite and Convalescent Care
Enliven’s Woburn Home also welcomes older people who require short-term care and support. This may be when your usual carer or family member needs a break or following surgery or illness.
During your stay, you’ll enjoy your own furnished room, shared lounges and delicious meals in the dining room or your room. You’re also invited to take part in any of the activities and residents’ outings.
The Social Club (Day Activity Programme)
The Social Club at Enliven Central’s Woburn Home is very popular with residents in the local community.
The programme will give you opportunities to socialise with others at a similar stage in life and take part in a variety of fun and engaging activities. Activities include sight-seeing trips, guest entertainers, themed parties, arts, craft, music and cooking.
Woburn Home’s Social Club runs every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am until 3pm.
