Issues at work?
Do you have issues or conflict at work that you would appreciate being able to talk through with someone experienced? Are things at home or in your personal relationships challenging and beginning to impact on your work?
It happens to many of us, you’re not alone.
If you’re facing stress or unhappiness at work, Family Works can help you gain perspective and find resolution.
Family Works is an accredited provider of the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). This counselling and support service provides assistance to employees when personal or work issues are impacting on their work or wellbeing.
Our counsellors can work with you one-on-one to help you address issues which may include things such as:
• bullying and workplace conflicts
• relationship difficulties
• alcohol or drug problems
• parenting problems
• physical or mental illness.
Family Works counsellors will help you to recognise and understand the issues, your feelings and responses, and support you to solve the problems or find the right support, treatment or other assistance.
Benefits for staff and employers
When an organisation sets up an EAP scheme with Family Works, staff know that when they need support a professional counselling agency is available. Staff can make an appointment directly with Family Works without the awkwardness of explaining their situation to someone in their work place.
Organisations that employ Family Works to deliver workplace assistance know that they have a professional counselling agency available to support staff wellbeing. This enables issues to be addressed early, improves communication in the work place, improves relationships and increases productivity as staff are settled in their roles.
Family Works works in partnership with employers to offer workplace assistance and counselling services in Taranaki, Whanganui, Hutt Valley, Wellington and Wairarapa.
In Taranaki, Whanganui and Hutt Valley these services are provided through either the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), OCP, Vitae, Stratos or Instep. Where a referral is made through one of these organisations, there will be no charge to the person accessing the service. You will usually be able to have between three to six counselling sessions.
