Making Aotearoa New Zealand
the best place to raise children
in flourishing families
Having kids doesn’t come with a manual…
Turret Tots is an informal group for South Wairarapa parents or caregivers with young children. The weekly group provides a place for you to chat with other parents who may also be living through hectic days, busy or arguing kids and a never-ending to-do list. You’re not alone!
Come along to Family Works at Turret House in Featherston and enjoy the company of other parents and their children. It’s a chance for you to get out of the house and enjoy time with your kids in a different environment. Your children will love playing with our different toys and kids of similar ages.
Activities vary each week but may include arts and crafts, music and singing, gardening, puzzles and games, dress ups, outside play and of course, mixing and mingling with other parents.
For parents and caregivers, Turret Tots aims to support you to:
- feel more supported and connected
- learn parenting skills that focus on safe, educational and fun play
- be confident in your parenting role
- access other support services if needed
- get out of the house and enjoy a relaxing, social and supportive morning out.
For kids, Turret Tots is a fun opportunity in a safe environment to play and learn with other children, to develop social skills and to have fun!
All parents and caregivers with young children are welcome, especially those who are new to town.
