You can help children like Alex, who often goes to school with bruises or a black eye. He is withdrawn in class and lives in fear that he will come home to find his mother hurt.
You can help Te Rina and Jason struggling to hold their family together after losing their business, their income and then their youngest child.
You can help Hilda who feels lonely, isolated and helpless after the death of her husband of 60 years.
Presbyterian Support Central receives some government funding for some services and programmes. But it does not cover the full cost of offering vital services to vulnerable children, young people, parents, older people and families. We rely on your support and generosity. We can not do it without you.
Members are people who believe in Presbyterian Support Central’s work to create positive and lasting change in our communities. They believe we can empower people, families and communities. Our members share Presbyterian Support Central’s values of respect, compassion, professionalism, excellence, fairness and equality, and passion.
Many of us would like to be able to support vulnerable children, families and older people even more than we do now, but often it’s just not possible. Leaving a bequest is a way you can support our work without any impact on your current financial situation. Instead you’ll know that when you’re gone, you’ll be continuing to positively affect the lives of others.
Every day people just like you are fundraising for causes they are passionate about. Their support makes a big difference. There are many fun ways you can fundraise for PSC. You might want to think about having a garage sale, running a raffle or event, holding a mufti-day or getting sponsorship for giving something up or taking up a challenge.
Volunteers are vital to Presbyterian Support Central! Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to provide our full range of services and support to children, families and older New Zealanders. As a volunteer you can give as little or as much time as you wish, on days and times that suit you. There are some volunteer roles that require an ongoing regular commitment whilst others are more flexible.
Presbyterian Support Central is a great place to work! Through Enliven and Family Works, Presbyterian Support Central provides a wide range of health and social services to people of all ages. If you’re passionate about providing high quality, person-centred services that focus on the wellbeing of people and communities, we’d love to hear from you!
