You have the power
You have the power to ensure that vital services such as counselling, social work, parenting programmes, and family violence prevention continue to be available for those who need them most. Every bequest, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
Many of our supporters choose to remember Family Works Central in their will because they want their values to live on. Your gift can be a reflection of the causes and people you care about most - ensuring your legacy is one of kindness, compassion, and lasting impact.
If you are considering leaving a bequest, we recommend speaking to your solicitor or legal adviser to ensure your wishes are clearly stated. We would also love the opportunity to talk with you confidentially about your intentions and the impact your gift could have.
How to Leave a Gift in Your Will
Leaving a bequest may seem complex, but the process is straightforward:
- Talk with your solicitor or trustee to ensure your Will reflects your wishes accurately.
- Use our suggested wording to provide clear legal guidance and reduce future updates.
- “I give to Presbyterian Support Central [ a percentage of my estate ] or [ the residue of my estate ] or [ the sum of $ … ] for general purposes. I declare that the receipt of Presbyterian Support Central signed by the Chief Executive, or other proper officer, will be sufficient receipt and discharge for my trustees.”
- Decide whether your gift is for general purposes (where the need is greatest) or for a specific focus area that resonates with you.
