PSC & Public Trust Partnership
Presbyterian Support Central (PSC) proud to announce a new partnership with Public Trust, helping make important planning services more accessible to our Enliven residents and retirement village communities, Family Works clients, their whānau and our staff.
The partnership officially commenced on 13 July 2026 and brings together two organisations with long histories of supporting New Zealanders through important stages of life.
Public Trust has helped New Zealanders protect their interests and plan for the future since 1873. Established as the world’s first public trustee service, it is now New Zealand’s largest provider of wills and estate administration services. Its advisers and lawyers help people prepare wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPOAs), administer estates, manage trusts and make plans to protect their families and legacies.
Each year, Public Trust helps thousands of New Zealanders with their wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney, and a supports many more with estate and trust administration.
PSC being a not-for-profit organisation has similarly been part of communities across the lower North Island for more than 117 years. Through Enliven and Family Works, we provide aged care, retirement village living, social services and practical support to thousands of people and families.
This new partnership reflects a shared commitment to helping people feel informed, supported and prepared for the future.
Making important planning more accessible
A will records how a person would like their estate managed after their death. An EPOA allows someone to appoint a trusted person to make certain decisions for them if they become unable to make those decisions themselves.
While these documents are important at every stage of adulthood, the cost or perceived complexity of arranging them can sometimes cause people to put them off.
Through our partnership with Public Trust, PSC will be able to connect the people we serve with trusted information, education and competitively priced services. Public Trust representatives will also be able to provide educational sessions for Enliven residents, retirement village residents, whānau, Family Works communities and PSC staff on subjects such as wills, EPOAs and estate planning.
Supporting PSC through gifts in wills
PSC is also honoured to be featured as one of several highlighted charities on Public Trust’s online will platform.
As a not-for-profit organisation, community generosity helps PSC provide support beyond what conventional funding alone can make possible. This includes enhancing the lives of older people through Enliven, strengthening children and families through Family Works and responding to changing needs across our communities.
Leaving a gift to PSC in a will - no matter how large or small the contribution - is one way people can help this work continue for future generations. Gifts of every size can make a meaningful difference, and people can choose whether their gift supports PSC’s work generally or a particular area close to their heart.
Including a charitable gift does not have to come at the expense of providing for family and loved ones. Public Trust can help people consider their wishes and document them clearly.
